International Order Information:
The three main video systems used to play back video around the world are NTSC, PAL, and SECAM. "A Friend Indeed" is only available in NTSC Format, but please read below for important information if you are in a country that uses PAL or SECAM.
NTSC Format
The United States & Canada use a system called NTSC to display and record video. NTSC is the format used for both the "Home Use" and "Public Screening" DVD versions of "A Friend Indeed". There are many other countries that use the NTSC format, and "A Friend Indeed" will play perfectly in these NTSC nations (see the list below).
PAL Format
Many European nations, Australia, China, and other countries may use PAL format (see the list below).
Fortunately, nearly all PAL DVD players have the capability to play NTSC DVDs as well. And if you have a PAL tv set made within the last 8-10 years it should be capable of displaying NTSC video properly when hooked up to your DVD player. You should however read your DVD player and tv manuals to make sure your DVD player & television combination will properly play an NTSC DVD. It is not our responsibility to have the DVD for "A Friend Indeed" play back on every non-NTSC DVD/tv combo, but you should be able to fairly easily find a playback setup in your vicinity that works so that you can enjoy the documentary.
If you've been able to play any Hollywood film that is in NTSC format then you will be all set to enjoy "A Friend Indeed". Also, any computer system (Windows or Mac) that can play a regular DVD can play "A Friend Indeed", as computers don't discriminate between NTSC and PAL.
SECAM Format
As with PAL format, please read your DVD player and tv manuals to make sure your DVD player & television combination will properly play an NTSC DVD. Again, it is not our responsibility to have the DVD for "A Friend Indeed" play back on every non-NTSC DVD/tv combo, but you should be able to fairly easily find a playback setup in your vicinity that works so that you can enjoy the documentary. Also, the DVD should play fine on your DVD capable Windows or Mac computer.

"A Friend Indeed - The Bill Sackter Story" will only be offered in NTSC format, but as seen above it will not present a problem in non-NTSC countries as long as you have the proper DVD player and tv combination (and it will present no format problems whatsoever in NTSC countries).
Region Encoding
Both the "Home Use" and "Public Screening" DVDs of "A Friend Indeed" are playable in all regions around the world, so Region encoding won't present you with a problem either.
I hope you enjoy "A Friend Indeed - The Bill Sackter Story" and help to be part of the grassroots effort to share this wonderful and inspirational documentary with people around the world.
